SAMARINDA - The development of the hospitality industry in Samarinda is now rapidly increased. In the near future, there will stand nine new hotels in Samarinda. As stated by the Mayor of Samarinda Syaharie Jaang at Halal Bihalal and Gathering of Government Relations and Local Region of Smarinda’s Protocol attended by the press at the Grand Victoria Hotel, Jl S Parman, Tuesday (27/08/2013). Of the nine hotels that launched, there is only one hotel which is located in Samarinda Sebrang which also is still being consulted.

Hospitality is promises outstanding business today. And Insya Allah this 2PM local time, some 4- star hotel will presented their business overview. “They are the one will take over the Hotel Tepian”, said Jang.

Currently, there are several hotels in the preparation of building permits, while others will take launched in coming months ahead such as the one at Jl. DR. Sutomo. The owner of Samarinda Central Plaza (SCP) said they also keen on building a two star hotel next to Aston, said Jaang.

The reason of Entrepreneur choosing to build hotels in inner-city like Jl. Juanda, Jl. DR Sutomo and Jl. Pahlawan, opposite from Samarinda Sebrang or Palaran, according to Jaang, are more likely influenced by business consideration objectives.

For your information, there were several hotels who had a critical problem related to disposal sewage and potentially injurious the public. Regarding to solve this matter, according Jaang, a new hotel should pass the Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) program in order to obtain building permits.
