Indonesia will soon host the Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta. A vast archipelago consisting of over 17,000 islands and 260 million people, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world. Uniquely, Indonesia is home to a different cultures, ethnicity, religions and languages. Moreover living in harmony with a large number of people is a challenge, yet Indonesia finds a way to live with their firmly held values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Loosely translated to Unity in Diversity. Furthermore, Unity in Diversity becomes the base and soul of “Energy in Asia”. Additionally bringing strong values of a diverse country into the whole of Asia, becomes the slogan for this years Asian Games. Indonesia came up with 3 mascots to represent “Energy of Asia”. Consequently, the mascots also embody the key sporting aspects of “Energy of Asia”. Such as speed, strategy and power.
